(Cringing)

"Just when you thought it was safe to go back to the water" (or to a Jewish communal event).

Seriously...SERIOUSLY. We recently talked about the oh-so-tactful behavior at Yad Vashem on Yom Hashoah. Apparently Israel doesn't have exclusivity on the Einsteins.

Check out this picture from social media goddess and influential Jewish Twitterer Esther Kustanowitz. She recently went to the Israel Festival in Los Angeles for good times. How did they "mark" visitors to the festival as they walked through the gate?

"Because yellow stars have always worked out so well for our people in the past."
-Esther

I was about to go further and make a joke but really, what more is there to say? I really need to get back to photographing some ridiculous T-shirts.

I can't believe that no one commented on this yet! :-O
I understand the rationale of fluourescent colors and for Israelis, orange would have a certain political connotation, pink might offend the religious. Really, they should have gone with green.
Good joke, though, Esther! I chuckled with a healthy dose of guilt. :-)

Yay, Esther...! Ummm, yep, green would have been a good choice...
